主讲人简介:

Prof. Dr. Sylvester Mpandeli is a distinguished global expert in the water–energy–food nexus, climate change adaptation, and agricultural water management. Ranked third globally among leading water–energy–food nexus authors in 2024, he has produced more than 300 publications and holds senior academic appointments at the University of Venda, Tshwane University of Technology, and the University of South Africa. A former South African UNFCCC climate adaptation negotiator, he currently serves in major leadership roles with ICID, NRF, SAWS, and related international committees. He is a Distinguished Alumnus of the University of Venda, sponsors top final-year students, and received the 2025 SANCID Leadership Award as its youngest-ever recipient.
