Mayara Caroline Felipe博士简介:

Mayara Caroline Felipe is an environmental engineer with experience in aquatic and terrestrial ecotoxicology. Her doctoral research addressed the impact of complex samples such as commercial laundry wastewater combined with raw domestic sewage, containing the LAS surfactant, treated in a fluidized bed reactor and the impact of the standard LAS (Linear Alkylbenzene Sulfonate) surfactant on aquatic biota, demonstrated through bioassays of toxicity in organisms-test (Daphnia magna, Allonais inaequalis, Chironomus sancticaroli). In addition, she is also experienced in evaluating the toxicity of sugarcane vinasse, subproduct of sugarcane refineries, using phytotoxicity with Lactuca sativa, Eruca sativa and Brassica oleracea, and soil organism Enchytraeus crypticus and ecotoxicity with freshwater organisms such as Daphnia magna, Ceriodaphnia silvestrii, Pristina longiseta, Allonais inaequalis, and Chironomus sancticaroli. Currently, Mayara is postdoctoral fellow conducting research on the ecotoxicity of pharmaceuticals present in urban wastewater. This work employs a multispecies soil test involving Enchytraeus crypticus, Phaseolus vulgaris, and Folsomia candida, further contributing to the understanding of environmental impacts. Furthermore, Mayara has international research experience. In the Netherlands, she worked on a multigenerational test with Enchytraeus crypticus in soil contaminated with raw sugarcane vinasse. In Portugal, she conducted physiotoxicity research, evaluating biomarkers and oxidative stress in a fish species (Diplodus sargus) exposed to environmentally relevant concentrations of caffeine and primidone.
